What it does

I built to practice my speaking and believe it works :)

HOW A SESSION RUNS A wheel spins for two and a half seconds and lands on your question. You take a side, or let the app assign one at random so you have to argue whatever it deals you. A prep clock runs. When it stops, you close everything and a separate speaking clock starts. An optional rebuttal round then throws a challenge at you ("Your strongest opponent says you ignored the costs. Answer them.") with a second clock. At the end you grade yourself against a seven-point checklist.

TWO DECKS, 224 QUESTIONS Deep research: 80 contested questions across 8 categories (Ethics & rights, Technology & AI, Economy & work, Science & health, Law & governance, Environment & energy, Education & culture, Media & information), with a research timer of up to an hour. Should assisted dying be legal? Do rich nations owe climate reparations?

Chill: 144 lighter questions across 12 categories (Everyday life, Food & drink, Work & office, Friends & relationships, Money habits, Internet & phones, Travel, Pop culture, Sports & games, School & campus, Weird hypotheticals, Hot takes), with seconds of prep instead of an hour. Is a hot dog a sandwich? Is teleportation just death with extra steps?

Every question is written by hand and phrased so both sides are genuinely arguable. The deck never repeats one until you have seen the rest of it.

WHAT YOU CONTROL Prep and speaking time per deck. Whether you pick your side or the app assigns it. Rebuttal round off, 30, 60 or 90 seconds. The argument scaffold (Claim, Because, Evidence, But, Still, So) on or off while prepping. Which categories are in play. Sound cues and a 30-second warning.

RUNS LOCALLY, OWNS NOTHING OF YOURS This is a self-contained browser app. Unzip it and either ask Claude or Cursor to "set this up and run it", or run one command and open localhost. No account, no sign-up, no install, no dependencies, no build step.

It makes no network requests at all: no analytics, no telemetry, no update check, no CDN. Even the font is embedded in the source. The microphone is never requested, so nothing you say is captured, recorded or transcribed, which is also why the app cannot score you and does not pretend to. The only thing stored is your own settings and which questions you have seen, in your browser, on your machine.

About 2,000 lines of plain, commented HTML, CSS and JavaScript you can read end to end. No AI writes your case for you and no AI generates the questions.

INSPIRED BY UNPROMPTEDitalic text The format is inspired by unprompted.top, which draws an unfamiliar concept and asks you to explain it. Convince Me draws a debatable question and asks you to argue a side, including the side you would not have chosen. All code and all 224 questions here are original work; nothing is copied from that project. The credit appears in the app itself and in the licence.

How you'll run it

Guided setup

No coding needed. Open the downloaded folder in an AI assistant (like Claude or Cursor) and say set this up and run it. It reads the included guide and does the rest.

About the seller

Every tool is checked before it's listed. We run an automated security scan of the source code (flagging network calls, obfuscation, and data-exfiltration patterns), then a human reviews the results and the code by hand before approving. We can't guarantee compatibility with your setup, and you run downloaded software at your own risk — but nothing reaches the marketplace unreviewed.
